Bad weekend...bad two days...

  • Some people (one person in particular) are assholes when they do not need to be. Thankfully, my friends have helped me to see that I am not alone in feeling this way about a certain person, so now I know I'm not crazy.

  • Apparently I can't even say the word "calling" in terms of a vocation without having a problem...that one only makes sense to two people.

  • People were so disrespectful during mass today. It really upset me. Okay, you really don't need to clap during the mass. You're not supposed to. It's rude. I don't care if you don't believe in God, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is a total lack of respect for the people who do.

  • I really don't get why people say things they really don't have to say. My mom and the aforementioned person have been doing this a lot lately, and I hate it. Okay, you don't have to say something rude when I haven't been rude to you. Just chill. It's really obvious that I am not all holly jolly right now, so either treat me like a human being or leave me the hell alone. Seriously.

  • Sorry to be cryptic, but I'm worried about someone. Rach and Mel know who. I hope she'll be okay...and I hope she does the right thing and doesn't procrastinate with this.

  • I hate when I explain things over and over again to people, and then they still aren't understanding what I'm trying to say.

  • Okay, now I'm all done being pessimistic.

I have to say that in addition to all my friends, Mona Hassan is an incredible individual. She just impresses me more and more each time I talk to her. She's such a sweetheart and her relationship with God totally inspires me. She's going to Mecca in January on a pilgrimage for three weeks, which is so cool. I'm really happy for her. She was explaining it to me and it sounds like such a wonderful spiritual experience for a Muslim. I saw this episode of Degrassi last night where this Muslim girl wore the hijab (head covering as well as covering the neck, legs, arms out of modesty and respect for men not of their immediate family), and I realized how difficult it must be to do that and yet how awesome it is that some Muslim women do that. After knowing Mona, I see women wearing the hijab and I respect it even more. She is honestly one of the nicest, internally beautiful people I have ever met in my life.
