The Hurricane

"She never said a word, but I know I plainly heard a cry for help." -Warren Barfield, "My Heart Goes Out"

I am: happiest when I'm daydreaming.

Whether school is on or off tomorrow is up in the air right now. I don't understand why they would even pretend that school will be open tomorrow when the office doors are covered in metal hurricane shutters, which, may I remind you, are held down with bolts. I think the administration (I feel like such a "screw-the-system" kind of person when I say those words: the administration) just wants to keep it open because picture day is tomorrow, and we can't reschedule it. It would suck to get our yearbooks late and all, but they think this thing might come tomorrow. Screw the pictures. The last thing anyone needs is to get stuck in a class with a bunch of kids they don't like for hours. *shudders* I can't think of one class I'd be okay with staying in for hours.

I have to help my mom put up the shutters today. *sigh* I'm supposed to be at dad's tonight, and she doesn't know when she's going to be home, so I guess I'm going to have to go to dad's and come all the way back to help instead of sitting here like a moron. Every time a project like this occurs, we end up fighting. This is one thing that sucks about having divorced parents. You don't have your dad around to put up the shutters so you can be a stereotypical girl and not participate. Oh well. I'll do it, it'll be over really quickly, and hopefully we won't have school tomorrow so I can be totally lazy tonight and sleep in tomorrow.

This hurricane is totally disorienting me. I'm all confused about what I'm supposed to do. I can't explain it.
