I really like that quote...got it from my Sociology book this morning.
I haven't updated since the first day of school due to the fact that my computer is just a whore. My mom thought it was fixed, and now it's not, so...bah. Anyway, I'm on her laptop for the time being. It takes a lot to catch up on those lj entries! But it's worth it.
To catch you up...
*My Silver Knight project has changed but is underway (YES!). I have a meeting with the volunteer coordinator on the 30th.
*Also on the 30th, my fate will officially be in the hands of FSU admissions officers and the college application gods. That's right, I'm applying early decision (who didn't know that?) and hoping for the best. I heard last year everyone who did got in, so I'm hoping it'll be the same for me. I have about 10 days to do everything (eep!), including selecting monologues because my BFA form has to be in along with my check, essays, etc. I know my dramatic one will be from The Woolgatherer, but I'm looking into comedic.
*Auditions for Into the Woods are Monday and Tuesday for me. Okay, you officially don't have to be a white girl (well, not that I'm not a white girl, but you know...) to be a witch or something, so PLEASE, PEOPLE! Chill out with the typecasting! Thank you!
*Monday is the day where seniors take over officially...BOW DOWN, UNDERCLASSMEN!!!!!! We're all dressing up as old people (ya'll better not chicken out, now...) and the freshmen will be dressed up as babies.
*Journalism is going famously, and Austin is fantastic at it.
Now onto today. I realized that maybe God (if you believe in God) reaches us all through different mediums. Mine is definitely worship music. They played "Amazing Grace" today, "Our God is an Awesome God", and "We Are a Pilgrim People". Sam, Karli, etc, you all sounded amazing on "Pilgrim". Loved it. "Awesome God" reminds me of going to Calvary for so many years. We learned hand motions to that in children's church. I had to remind myself not to do them. Don't laugh! You spend all that time in a church like that and it's hard to repress that stuff.
I'm confused about my religion (who isn't?), but not my spirituality. I'm perfectly fine with the latter. Maybe I don't need religion. I believe in God, and I believe in Jesus because Jesus is what makes God more personal. I believe in prayer, but I'm not entirely convinced that the Bible is all true. Actually, I know it's not.
I just know that God is there. There are certain songs that I will hear and this feeling just comes over me. It is this unbelievable happiness I have never experienced except in a spiritual setting. I don't know how to explain it except to say that it's God.
Okay CGHS people...we're all getting out at 11:45 on Wednesday...do you all want to get a group together and do something? I don't know...beach, possibly? If not, I am going by myself! *cries* LOL. Seriously, though. I'll just do my own thing if no one wants to hang out. I figured I'd throw the idea out there, since I'm not really part of the usual m-winger groups that get groups together to do stuff. Comment, please!

Love the pic. Love. John Tartaglia (aka JTart) is on the right. And that's Rod in the middle.
