Turn on the bulb in my head, light up my room...

The life of man is like a game with dice; if you don't get the throw you want, you must show your skill in making the best of the throw you get.

Today kicked off Homecoming Week. The seniors were supposed to dress up in Hawaiian clothes, but I decided to leave my bikini and coconut shells at home (ha ha ha). As Jackie so eloquently said, Hawaiian is not related to Hollywood, and Hawaii is not even in the same place as California. Hm..she said it better than I did. Oh well. Please excuse the paraphrase, Jackie. I delivered newspapers with Austin during 7th hour (yay for missing math), and sat with him (and Sandy, Michelle, and Katie) at assembly. I just put on my glasses in an attempt to fit in with the juniors, dressed in "Revenge of the Nerds" attire. As for assembly...

  • Maggie Peterson can sing!

  • A job well done by the 5 senior boys with their N*SYNC routine.

  • Jeff Halivax does a great Michael Jackson imitation.

  • Then I walked Maggie's dogs, came home and did chores and homework, and started downloading the Sims 2, which I bought today. Awesome game! It runs a little slowly on my computer, but it's worth it. I'm all confused about the whole starting a family thing, though...they changed it around from the first one and now I have no idea how that works! Anyone know?

    In reverse chronological order...

I watched the Emmy's last night, which were fairly good. Yay for Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker...they deserve it. Yay for Angels in America as well. I have to say, though, the people in the control room SUCK because they kept cutting people off with the music. Even Meryl Streep. You so do not cut off Meryl Streep.
