I just added everyone back who added innerashley to their friends lists. I just updated, too, so check it out if you like. :)

Julie's right. People suck. Well, it depends on the people, really. Actually, let me rephrase that. Elitist people suck.

At work the other day, a loyal customer stuck around to talk to me, Daniella, and Evelyn. One of the things she brought up completely makes sense. You see men helping each other all the time. Ever heard of the "good ol' boys" network? Why do you think it's more difficult for women to get into higher career positions? Guys will promote guys before they promote women. Believe it. I've seen it in my mom's company and many others.

Women, however, are not like men. We don't have a "good ol' girls" network. Instead, we often insist on tearing each other down and being catty when we could really kick ass. I'm not sure what it is, but girls have this innate tendency to pull down someone who thinks that they are even equal to them. Not all girls do it, but I would say 90% of them do. It's pretty much the reason I wasn't in a good mood yesterday.

What is it about girls that makes them want to stake a claim to everything? Boys, friends, jobs, feelings. It's a "you can't have that, that's mine" attitude that hurts people more than is realized. I don't even think some people realize that they do it.

It's not always girls, either, but it's a lot more prevalent in women.

Oh, and if you're a boy that does this to girls...you're such a wuss (I would use a different word, but I don't want to offend people, especially the girls).

amen to that
Guys can be beating up on each other one minute, then be best friends the next. Girls will hate each other forever, and all their friends will too. Guys don't hold grudges like girls do. That's what girls need to learn, how to forgive and forget. And how to just GET OVER IT!!!

i think its bc us guys tend to be more severe in our payback that allows us to put it in the past, instead of years of talking about it behind each others backs, one of us will play a game of soccer with the other persons head then get over it and be friends again
